as a technical advisor for the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health’s Success Factors Case Studies: Indonesia and Cambodia | Synthesis paper


Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists

to evaluate the Leading Safe Choices Programme in South Africa and Tanzania for the Centre of Women’s Global Health.


International Planned Parenthood Federation 

to develop a series of ‘How to Guides’ showcasing successful approaches adopted by IPPF Member Associations to address abortion stigma and reduce barriers to vital sexual health information and services for adolescent girls: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Ghana and Pakistan.


The Open University

to evaluate the use of a video collection on women’s abortion experiences as part of Sex and Relationships Education resource package in secondary schools in England; and contribute to a knowledge exchange project designed to challenge abortion stigma in the UK comprising of a travelling multimedia installation and publication of a booklet to support women accessing abortion services in the UK.


Options Consultancy Ltd 

to conduct operations research to evaluate the effectiveness of two adolescent friendly health service models in Sierra Leone for a DFID funded programme.


London Borough of Hackney 

to evaluate Pause Hackney a pilot initiative to help women who have experienced repeat removals of children from their care and ‘creating a space for change’ to address an array of needs such as clinical therapy, counselling, homelessness, substance misuse and to develop new skills for a more positive future. 


Marie Stopes UK  

Principal investigator of a mixed method study to identify factors associated with why young women have more than one abortion, in collaboration with The Open University.

to provide M&E support for patient-centred women’s health services; and develop cases studies showing successful strategies to distribute mifepristone and misoprostol for obstetric care with a focus on Bangladesh, Uganda & Viet Nam.


City and Hackney Primary Care Trust 

to evaluate an innovative social and health service for the male partners of sex workers in Hackney.


Marie Stopes Bolivia 

to co-lead a WHO funded study to research the use of medical abortion among poor women in five Bolivian cities.
